March 15, 2016 – Commissioner Nate McLaughlin addressed JAXUSA Partnership at its recent quarterly forum to discuss both the current trends and future needs for economic development.

On Friday, officials from the county, Flagler County Chamber of Commerce and dozens of local businesses hit back.

The third annual Flagler County Job Fair — put on by the county’s Department of Economic Opportunity, the chamber and CareerSource Flagler Volusia — brought job seekers and potential employers together on the Palm Coast campus of Daytona State College.

Flagler County is gearing up for a huge job fair Friday that is expected to draw hundreds.

Tim Hale and his wife’s local technology consulting company, Coastal Cloud, is trying to find workers to join their team. “That involves continuing to hire a lot of people locally,” said Hale.

Hale’s local business is one of more than 40 employers looking to fill jobs at the county’s job fair this Friday, March 11.
